About Rod

Rod has been training dogs since 1981.

His goal when he graduated high school was to join the US Army and become a military police officer, furthering his career by becoming a military working dog handler and trainer. His dream came true in 1981 when he attended the Department of Defense Dog School at Lackland Air Force Base Texas.

After leaving the military he continued his law enforcement career as a deputy sheriff in the Denver Colorado metro area. As a deputy he was the head K-9 trainer for the department, responsible for training the units K-9 teams. His training education was enhanced by working with several trainers with other law enforcement agencies.

Rod's passion was working with and solving behavior problems for his clients dogs. He has been teaching obedience since 1982. During that time he has taught for Adams County Adult Education and is the training consultant and recommended trainer for several veterinarians.

Rod has taken the techniques he has learned throughout his career and has applied those to his methods. He can get you started in as little as 5 minutes to help you enjoy your dog rather than relegate him to the back yard.

When you put the techniques you are given to use, you and your dog will be successful in training for every day!

Praise the positive, correct the negative.
